I've been to Phupancome.....live about 20km from there. I know a Belgium guy in the area. Not too many falangs in that neighborhood as far as I know.

Hey thanks Parrot. I am thinking of buying some land from a photo, which is the worst way to go, but I am not about at present to make my own site visit, and the owner is in a heck of a rush. ( one week to close the deal). the land is steep rocky Nongbua bush covered land, (snake country maybe ) but no problem I like the unusual. I have owned rocks and caves before. My current house is surrounded by forest, totally self sufficient, and couldnt be more remote, so Nong bua doesnt put me off, its more about whether the land will take a house, and how difficult that will be..

I really need someone to assess for me if vehicle access can be made down from the road, (the owner is talking unfill )to an adequate area for a house site, with views of UD, hopefully without chopping any trees down.. ( I am not talking rich farang house like most of them go for, a simple wooden pole house will do me) some of the land is solid rock, so I question the matter of laying down pole foundations, and wonder if there is a house site free of rock, but still has the best views of UD..also I do not know what is on both sides of the land, neighbours, piggery, coalmine, etc etc.

I am abit of a recluse, love my privacy, love the peace and quiet, no roaring motobikes, barking dogs all day and night, or nosey neighbours, just like peace, and nature. there is a track along one of the boundaries which locals use. can you just check to see if this is foot traffic or road traffic...If I can build a place in the middle of the land, and get access down to it. I will be happy...

The place is six acres and is supposedly marked well, and the address I am given is Ban Phupancome, Noan Tan road, Moo 7, and is shown in the classified ads on this site as 16rai ban phupancome. A lady called Yanimon who is married to a NZ farang owns the place, in case you get lost and need to stop and ask someone.

hey I would appreciate any help you can spare me asap, in shooting over there for a squizz around, and reporting back to me. if you can do it this weekend or sooner, great...you can send me a PM, and I will somehow sort out some beers or gas money for you.
