Best Beer in the World

Postby old-timer » March 16, 2010, 6:05 am

Right now it's 2am where I am and I've had a skinful of a beer called "Nile Special" which according to the bottle is 5.6 percent. I must say it's quite delicious. Are there any other beers from around the world that can be recommended?

I must say, Jack, that Texpat's preference for Guiness is spot on .. a fine beer, originally from the British Isles :-"

Hey; give Eddie a Hug and a Kiss for me will you ... I still miss Udon dreadfully; not too fond of it here TBH. :(

Moles philosophy
There is no such thing as bad beer just some taste better than others

The best taste to a beer is when it is paid for by someone else

I think the best beer for us is a matter of personal taste. I must admit, after living for 4 years in Belgium IMHO they make some of the finest beers on the planet. My personal fave is one called La Chouffe which is 8% beer and is like nectar of the Gods. Their web site:

http://www.achouffe.be/en/

And here is the International Beer Shop from which you can order this beer plus heaps of others over the internet.
