My personal opinion is that pinay-girls are as beautiful as thais. I have even friends that means pinays are more beautiful. And I have heard the opposite too......

For other aspects, well there not such a thing as sinsod in the Philippines. Thats something. But as Philippines are a poorer country I think the pressure of taking care of parents and other family could be even bigger there compared to LOS.
But my personal experienses is still that its more expensive to court a girl in Thailand compared to Philippines.
Pinays are in general not so "money hungry" as those in Thailand - to use your expression.....

However I like Thailand better than the Philippines.....

If I had not met my wife (who is not money-hungry at all) and had to do it all over again, I would not choose a Thai wife. In fact, if it were not for a chance re-meet during the last week of what was supposed to have been my last visit to Thailand, I would have gone elsewhere - never to return to Thailand. I was fed up. Lucky for me to have had the chance re-meet, though.

If looks is the first criteria for picking,you might try learning some conversational Thai,then shop for eye glasses in the many a/c'd optical shops around! I see some of the nicest looking group of girls in these well lit stores, and they don't look to busy either If they are not married , not turned off by your manners,looks and general demeanor and interested in falang at all,I would think this would be a good starting place.

You could try the makeup counters,also

It shouldn't be a problem to browse the make up counter.

In LOS, many men use make up haha it's not so uncommon..it would be little bit more problematic if the male farang stroll around the female underwear and buy some of them.
