Blocked Websites

Postby jackspratt » February 24, 2010, 9:48 am

Is anyone else experiencing a new outbreak of the dreaded "Wait for w3.mict.go.th" message in the bottom left of their browser (in my case FF), which slows access to (not all) websites to a crawl?

My ISP is ToT, and I have ADSL.

The websites I refer to are all perfectly innocent, and would not appear to violate any Thai laws eg http://attitude.adforum.com/top5/2010/0 ... tbwaparis/

I'm with TOT on ASDL using FF also & am having issues today as well.
Same as you a quite innocuous "social networking" site. Will not load, is being opened via w3.mict.go.th &, basically, it does not. Not sure if this is a deliberate ploy (In times of political unrest elsewhere countries have been know to pull the plug on these sites, but it then seems strange that the BBC opens just fine  ) or the w3.mict.go.th server just can't cope with the work it is attempting to do.

Yes. Yahoo home page is blocked, but nothing else that I have visited, including some that are probably in violation of Thai law. Also seems that speed is slower than usual as some videos have to continually reload.

and here is it again:

Website HP driver website
Waiting for w3.mict.go.th

My opinion is that the server is just overloaded or crashed. They always recorded what users do on the web but when server is not responding anymore it will just 'hang' there until some admin comes by and resets it.
