She must have something in Thailand e.g. a house, land, a job to return to, for her to get a visitors visa. Something fairly concrete to ensure that she will be returning to LOS when her visitors visa expires. There is the fiancee visa route but unless you are gainfully employed for a period of time and can show that you could support your wife to be, that dog won't bark. Being self-employed, they will want to see your taxes filed for at least one year, to indicate income. Marrying her before or after you come to Canada, will result in at least 2 years of jumping through hoops and not inconsiderable expense. Have had friends all try these various avenues with the above results. Sorry to say, it will be extremely difficult for you to get your lady into Canada no matter which route you decide to take. If you're serious about this, I would place getting a source of income as my #1 priority. Without that, nothing else is going to happen.
