dvd and tv repairs

Postby johnty. » November 23, 2009, 7:35 am

I bought a dvd home cinema system in August 20008,It decided not to let me be able to open it exactly 6days after guarantee ran out also bought a 32inch samsung flat screen at same time(states in manual that it will take between 5/10 seconds to come on after turning on)as of last night i am now waiting 5/6 minutes to get picture and sound. Does any body know of a good local repair man/agent in Udon Thani? Thanks in advance for any help...johnty.

I have always used the electrical place right at the end under Big C - Amorn, I think they are called.
Others have said on here before that they do not rate them - I can only say that any repairs they have done for me have worked, been quick &, I believe, fairly priced.

Bob (and others) there is a very interesting thread on Thai Visa about 1 guy's experiences with Amorn - albeit in Pattaya.

It is well worth a read.

Interesting Jack.
Whenever I have been in the shop in Udon I have never been in any doubt that their larger "white good" items are anything but second hand(& I have always assumed repaired items). Considerably cheaper than the 'new' upstairs in Big C & the electrical store & pretty obviously not the latest product either.
Would I buy a "new" large item from them?? Not sure, I have bought 'Grade B' electricals in UK before & have never been disappointed, but the consumer laws are a tad stronger in the UK. :D :D

Hi All,quick update, took my 32inch samsung tv back to "power whatever it is" in Big c shopping complex (because it is still under Guarantee),next day we received a call from Samsung saying that it would be repaired and returned by repairer in the next 2-3days(extremely efficient),it is now day 10 and still no sign, bet there stuck in all the bloody traffic at the festival,TIT.
