I was looking at that phone today. The only downside is poor quality photos and video, however all other specs are very good.

I've had one for a couple of months now, and there has already been 2 firmware upgrades to improve photos and a lot of other tweeks. Firmware is simple to upgrade over the net. HTC give excellent support. I find phots are very goog providing lighting is ok. Not overly happy when I use the flash - which is a powerful and over exposes pics if you are too close. Pics end up washed out. I'm sure there'll be a fix for that soon though. Photo's can then be e-mailed, MMs or sent to facebook, twitter etc and the touch of a button. I'm still over the moon with mine and wouldn't swap it for an i-phone.

I took a look at this phone last time I was in the complex. It caught my attention but I wasn't familiar with the make. How much are they selling for in Udon ?

I bought the G-Net G6 yesterday, and it looks like the same phone as the one in your link. But I must say I don't really like it, it is fast and it works (I guess, never used an iPhone) like an iPhone, but I think behind the screen it is running an other OS (anybody knows which one?). The address-book, browsing the internet and e-mail for example, are not working as I would think from an Apple clone, my old Nokia E50 (about 3 years old) does a better job. It is not a bad phone, but I don't like it. Luckily my TG loves it, so now she is the happy owner :D .

I went to Laos today, and looked at some iPhone and Nokia clones there, and I noticed that they are both running the same OS  ; the interface is different but the applications on the Nokia (like the address-book) were identical. I think they just clone the outside, and put the same software on these clones, only the interface they copy too. Doesn't really matter, if it works and your happy with it, but I thought this Nokia clone would have the same things I didn't like as the cloned iPhone. Have to say they were cheap, she started with an offer of 2.500 baht for the iPhone (3GS 32GB) look-a-like, because I didn't want I didn't make a lower offer. But I guess you can have it for 2.000 baht? Wonder what the quality is however :-" .

The quality is fair jorg & they more or less do what they say on the tin - so if it says 32GB it will have that - more or less!!
Where the Nokia clones fall down is that the free Nokia pc suite will rarely work with them - because of the software. You can still upload/download photos movies & tunes, but can't back up your address book or synchronize a schedule between your pc & the phone.
But you pays your money (& VERY much less of it) & makes your choices.

That's true, they do what they say, and also there all double sim, that's a big plus. But e-mail on the iPhone clone didn't work very good, i think it will be the same on the Nokia clones, and that is just the thing i use most on my phone (more than calling :) ). So i think have to pay more and go for an original. Don't get me wrong, it is a nice phone with lots of features, so for the price it is a very good deal.

For those who have never used an iPhone before rushing out to buy a clone, there just is no comparison. An iPhone is much more than just the standard features found in almost every phone these days. If that is all you need, then you don't need an iPhone - yes, get something else. The primary reason for getting an iPhone are all the apps that have been developed for it: EReaders, gaming, social networking, various tools, productivity software, Skype, movies, push technology and subscriptions, GPS, music composition, software development, educational software, and pretty much everything beyond email, SMS, phone, Internet browser, MP3, and contacts.

Comparing an iPhone to one of the various copies is akin to comparing Ali or Tyson in their prime to Pee Wee Herman in boxing shorts.

With all these apps very strictly controlled by Apple it self, if they don't like it, you don't get it... (if you use your iPhone they way it is intended). That's for me reason enough to think twice about this phone, not saying I will never buy one though.
