This place is certainly worthy of a mention if the photos are anything to go by.

Kalasin is 192km's from Udon. Take route 2 to Khon Kaen and then turn left on to route 209 and follow to Kalasin. It's F7 on the province map

I have been to this area, and the museum. The museum is very modern, very informative and has great displays. It is quite a way from Kalasin however, maybe 20 minutes or more. A very enjoyable way to spend a few hours. At the time I visited, the entry price was zero baht - free. However, I understand that admission fees will be charged in the future. This place would be a great destination for school trips.

I went there on my last visit, had a great day out with my TGF, her daughter & another local child, I was surprised the entry was free, even for a falang !
There were plenty of places to get a meal & refreshments (Leo) and they also were quite cheap. A good day out even though a bit of a drive.
