It might be a little bit late, but I just discovered today that the Accor website who own the Sofitel has a promotion until late this year at the Khon Kaen Sofitel: stay 3 nights, pay for two, less than 6k for 3 nights.
At greenwoodtravel.com you can find the Sofitel for 2850/night plus dinner buffet for 2 for every 2 nights.
I think the buffet x2 is worth 1000B and it is the best in Isaan.
