Metered taxis in Khon Kaen

Metered taxi cabs were introduced to Khon Kaen for the first time on January 20th 2010. A total of 30 cabs hit the streets this year and plans are underway to add further 49 next year. Costs to use the taxis is 30 baht and then 4 baht per kilometer after the first 3 kilometers. Taxis are available on call (etxra charge of 30bt) or from 16 dedicated stands throughout the city.
