No need to look Bob - you must have 2 or 3 of them given to you by Mighty Chang. Otherwise, why would you have let him back on the forum so often

Will be in complex next week and need some 2x2 inch US passport photos.

I gather there's at least one place in the Complex, yes - hard filtering out all the static in the posts here.

Appreciate any confirmation or recommendation - preferably at or around the Complex.

Don't get in to the big city much so don't know any of those landmark bars/locations mentioned.

Thanks - BA

There is a shop that makes passport and visa photos on the road where the bus station is, between the 7-11 and the Malasrisangdan Hotel (O12 on the map). This is the same road as where central plaza is, only on the other side of Prajakroad.

The photo booths on the second floor of the complex will do the photos for you (cheaply) thanuhak. But it depends how fussy the US is about the photos. The UK passport office are amazingly fussy about how the photos are for a UK passport that they supply about 6 A4 sheets showing what is & is not acceptable. For those passport photos I would only use somewhere like the Fuji Sign shop that wazza suggested to me earlier in this thread. For 'normal' passport photos needed at the border of Laos for example, the ones from the photo booths in the complex are fine..

Cool, many thanks.

And yes, US is very fussy also; i.e., head between 1-1 3/8" from bottom, ears, expressionless, no funny hat, glasses or moustachios, etc.

Good point; the last one's I did in Bangers, the lad at the shop had seriously tweaked mine - Gaussian Blur & God knows what. Lucky they accepted them.

Everything's gotta be tweaked, touched up, or airbrushed nowadays it seems... Know what I mean?

I got a new passport in Bangkok about 6 years ago,the American embassy was accepting the photos from one shop only at the time.It was modern, inside a large building and near the embassy with a very professional air to it.The prices were relatively higher than I expected, but OK!
