Rachawadee Resort & Hotel was built in 2007 in an eco-friendly way. It is the result of a Somjaiwong family dream to bring to their hometown of Khon Kaen, Thailand, an oasis of tranquility and fine dining for vacationers and business travelers.

The keystone is Kinaree Restaurant, serving all the popular Isan dishes, as well as many original creations.

The Somjaiwong family are avid travelers and have collected many decorative and operational ideas from around the world to incorporate into Rachawadee Resort & Hotel including environmentally friendly methodologies and wheelchair accessibility techniques.

Reusable canvas laundry bags and solar water heating are two of the environmentally friendly features you will see at Rachawadee Resort & Hotel

You will also see the many wheelchair ramps throughout the resort.

The Somjaiwong family are involved in the community with several public service activities, and the elders of the family have a legacy of public service to the Khon Kaen community.

In addition to Rachawadee Resort & Hotel, the Somjaiwong family export antique and garden furniture to North America and Europe.

Just a heads up that I have had nothing but problems with this Hotel.

Stayed there in April with a group of friends and everything was OK. As it turns out this was a one off.

Returned for one night in September. On arrival went to check in and waited and waited and waited to be served. After 5 minutes a Thai guy comes and stands next to me and they proceed to check him in straight away. When I objected they said they thought I was checking in with some other guy who was standing 10 feet away at the other end of the counter!!
In the evening I went to the restaurant and ordered Mammasan Curry having seen a friend order it on the previous visit. Don't know if they had a new chef, but all I got was a spicy soup dish. Not impressed.

On the 17th of this month my wife rang the hotel to book 8 rooms for a golfing trip to KK. They confirmed the booking asking me to ring them on the day if we were not going to check in before 6.00pm so that they didn't release the rooms. On the 24th my wife rings them again to book a further 2 rooms, only to be told that we did not have a booking for the 8 rooms. My wife spoke to the Manageress who had a couldn't care less attitude. When we rang back for some more information they refused to answer the phone, despite making 10 or more calls.
