To truly find God, truth needs to be found independently from the opinions of others. The truth has to be found in our hearts.

I am passing this on to you because it definitely works, and we could
all use a little more calmness in our lives. By following a simple
advice heard on the Oprah show, you too can find inner peace.

Dr Oz proclaimed, 'The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the
things you have started and have never finished."

I looked around my house to see all the things I started and hadn't
finished, and before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a
bottle of Zinfandel, a bottle of Tequila, a package of Oreos, the
Remainder of my old Prozac prescription, the rest of the cheesecake,
Some Doritos, and a box of chocolates.
You have no idea how freaking good I feel right now!

Pass this on to those whom you think might be in need of inner peace

HANDBOOK 2010

Health:
1. Drink plenty of water.

7. Read more books than you did in 2009.
8. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day
9. Sleep for 7 hours.

Personality:
11. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

14. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
15. Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip.

Life:
32. Do the right thing!
33. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.
34. GOD heals everything.
35. However good or bad a situation is, it will change...
36. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
37. The best is yet to come...
38. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it.
39. Your Inner most is always happy. So, be happy.

Even when opportunity knocks, you still have to get off your ass and open the door.

The Chinese character for danger is the same as for opportunity. There is no opportunity without risk.

1. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.

Not to mention all your files of nekkid wimmen... which in my case are continually growing. Thank You, Met-Art.com.

2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

I look at it as an opportunity to man-up and admit error. Of course the danger is that the other person will take it as a sign of weakness and move in to rip my guts out.

3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.

You can't make up for lost sleep or sex.

4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.

It's called italics, chiflado.

5. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

Lay it out as flat as possible, then crumple it into a ball.

6. Was learning cursive really necessary?

Only if you want to be indecipherable.

7. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on #5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

But others... we're always reduced to the weakest link.

8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.

In many cases, yes. But you can bet no one's last words were, "I wish I had spent more time at the job.'

9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.

You must be enjoying life. If you don't use it, you lose it. As much as I hate to admit it, work makes you strong.

10. Bad decisions make good stories.

Some, if not most, better not told.

11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.

And we move a little closer to the Welfare State.

12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection...again.

Would that be 3-D? I'm still with DVD. Upscaling is nice, but how good does it have to be?

13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page research paper that I swear I did not make any changes to.

Could be you're like me, functionally illiterate when it comes to computers.

14. "Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will never wash this - ever.

I look at sheets the same way as buffalo robes. Stiff at first but as your body warms them, they conform to your contours.

15. I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Damn it!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voice mail. What did you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?

And if people keep their cell phones in their pocket, why are the ring tones SO LOUD?

16. I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.

But, how many lesser beings see you as an example?

17. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.

I leave my cell phone on my desk, on 'silent', use it as an answering machine and check for missed calls.

18. I think the freezer deserves a light as well.

Maybe it's burned out and you forgot there was one.

19. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lite than Kay.

Have you seen the advertisements for K-Y Feminine Stimulation Gel? Move over Miller.

21. Sometimes, I'll watch a movie that I watched when I was younger and suddenly realize I had no idea what the heck was going on when I first saw it.

Sometimes I look back at my youth and realize I didn't have a clue what was going on as I was moving through it.

22. I would rather try to carry 10 plastic grocery bags in each hand than take 2 trips to bring my groceries in.

That's why everyone should steal a grocery cart and keep it in the car port.

23. The only time I look forward to a red light is when I'm trying to finish a text.

Naughty driver, be careful a Mack Truck doesn't reach out and touch you.

24. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.

Try a nap.

25. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word
they said?

Living in a Asian speaking country, 'bout a hunnerd times a day.

26. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars team up to prevent an A-hole from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers and sisters!

Another reason why I'm glad I stopped driving.

27. Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever.

As with buffalo robes.

28. Is it just me or do high school kids get dumber & dumber every year?

It's part of the plan of The Elite to turn the common people into peasants. They like the way it worked before.

29. There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a little too far.

I was with Dad and his father back in '94, Grandpa was droning on about 1932. I was leaning back in the chair, fell asleep, woke with a start and threw my arms and legs out. I didn't hit the floor but the old man almost had a heart attack.

30. As a driver I hate pedestrians, and as a pedestrian I hate drivers, but no matter what the mode of transportation, I always hate cyclists.

Is it their arrogance of moral superiority?

31. Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.

This whole time and space thing is new to me too. I've almost mastered silverware.

32. Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I'd bet my ass everyone can find and push the snooze button from 3 feet away, in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time, every time!

One of the benefits of being retired is being able to get up when I feel like it.

You can have all good things - wealth, friends, kindness, love to give and love to receive - once you have learned not to be blinded by them, learned to escape from disappointment, and from repugnance at the idea that things are not as you want them to be.
