Two topics have recently raised there head when Thais have been talking to my wife about farangs. Interesting as to where they get these pre-conceived ideas.

1. Farangs are dirty and don't wash.
2. Farangs drink too much beer and cannot have sex.

Needless to say, my wife laughs here head-off and says it's not true. In both cases.

In Thailand i would think most shower every day (often twice or more) - it helps you cool down if you have been out and about.

In UK, especially with the recent weather, keeping warm is more important! So a grain of truth?

As for the second point, do they mean farang women? I am sure there was some reason i came to Thailand other than the fishing? I was under the impression that Thais tend to give up sex at an early age - 50's i seem to remember from some post (mighr be Issix, with his stickman quotes, so somewhat suspect!)

1. All Thais I know shower twice a day. Most Brits I know shower once. Therefore all Farangs are dirty.

2. Am I the only one to have suffered 'brewers' droop after 10 pints? Therefore all Farangs drink too much and can't have sex.

So all in all, they are 100% correct in there assumptions. We are just a bunch of dirty drunks who can't get it up

I would say yes to both.......'*some' are dirty, and '*some' drink too mutt and cannot have sex...and its usually the same person.
Those girlfriends/women that spread the word got hooked with the wrong man/bf unfortunately for them, maybe thats all that was going or available to them, i am sure the gossips hear of these examples it gets blown out of proportion and then everyone gets labelled..
I do know a few examples, so i know there is some truth in it, but its not a high percentage that we are all smelly and lazy..
