Udon Pit high school

Postby Tilokarat » April 26, 2010, 2:51 am

Does anyone have any information about this school, such as yearly fees, website, registrar's telephone number and so on?
I have heard that it is one of the more expensive schools in Udon.

Thanks in advance.

Supposedly it's the number one public school Udon. There are no school fees (other than tea money/donation if the student can't get in by other means, i.e. academic entrance exam, talent contest or lottery). It's very competitive to get in, many transfer over from St Marys & Don Bosco.

Thanks so much for that information, I could not get it through Google.

The son of a close friend of mine attends there and has for the past two years. He was told that the school wanted close to $2,000 U.S. in fees, which did not seem right to me.

The kid is talented too. He just returned from the Yamaha Music Contest in Bangkok, where he came in second in both classical and electric guitar.

Thanks again.

Udon Pitt is a Government funded school, however they do offer an English programme which charges a lot up tp I beleive 70,000 per year for special tuition in English and two.three other subjects.

The problem is that with about 6,250 odd pupils it is crowded and facilities are at best stretched.

There seems little point inpaying for a special programme as not many pupils leave there with better english understanding and they will only teach the Thai curriculum in any event.
